Principalities and Powers

You had a Physiology test on Monday. Your course rep had reminded the class over and again months and weeks before. Then, you were so tired of hearing talk of how terrible Physiology tests questions were so you read Gross Anatomy.

Two weeks to the test, you realized that you had to do something. You drew an outline that would enable you cover everything. The lecturers did not seem to understand your plight as bulky materials totalling half of a textbook were dropped a week to the test. You sunk yourself into your books, missing classes, burning the till-day-break candle. Thankfully you had crammed the necessary part. You scurried off to both the CMDA and FECAMDS discussions to get advice from senior colleagues and see possible questions. You had not read the material on respiratory Physiology and so you planned to cover it on Sunday. Sunday came. When the prayers for academic success were mentioned, your Amen was amplified. You prayed for God's mercy and favour. You got back to the hostel and while snacking, read from 12:00pm to 6:37pm.

The first problem came in the form of your roomate. A new episode of Game of Thrones was out. You just had to watch it, maybe there was a Physiology in the dragons you just had to learn from. You watched it, enjoying every minute. Alas!!!You still had some parts to cover. You were so hungry you went to the Buka and got Santana and egusi soup. You had forgotten the ability of that meal combination to draw you into a night of blissful sleep. You had a bath and continued to read until 12:56am. You felt tired and you went to lie down after setting your alarm for 3:20am.

You woke up at 7:20am for a test of 8:00am. You rushed to medical complex to write, so sure your appearance was that of an upcoming actress auditioning for the role of a maid in a Nollywood movie. You didn't care anyway. It was when you saw the questions looking like a muddled mixture of Greek and Urhobo that you knew principalities and powers were real. They started from making you not interested in reading to making you watch a movie and finished with making you sleep. You muttered a prayer and started writing.
